Ally is a curious and attuned therapist who is passionate about working collaboratively with her clients to explore meaning and increase their quality of life. Her approach to therapy is trauma-informed and attachment based. She is experienced in delivering evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Ally completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at The University of Sydney and is an accredited Cool Kids provider.
Previously, Ally has worked in the Mental Health Disability and Out of Home Care sector with a broad range of children, adolescents, families, adults and their carers in relation to emotion regulation, interpersonal difficulties, identity and social skills difficulties. She has also worked in the private sector delivering group programs and individual therapy targeting alcohol and substance use, communication, mood and anxiety related difficulties. Ally is interested in the treatment of anxiety, depression, sexuality and trauma based difficulties. She is interested in working with children, adolescents, families and people from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender diverse, intersex, queer, asexual and questioning (LGBTIQA+).
