Geneviv Fanous

Clinical Psychologist

Geneviv is a warm and compassionate clinical psychologist who enjoys working collaboratively with people to build a life worth living. She is passionate about establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients, and has a particular interest in helping people learn how to understand and regulate their emotions. Her approach is trauma informed and takes an evidence-based focus, while maintaining a warm, flexible and collaborative manner, to ensure that treatment is in line with client needs. She uses a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy.

Geneviv completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) at Macquarie University and completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at UNSW. Her clinical training involved delivering group and individual therapy for a wide range of clinical presentations including eating disorders, depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. In addition to her role at Wise Institute, Geneviv also worked at an inpatient eating disorders unit.

Geneviv brings warmth, insight, and genuine care to her work, and is committed to walking alongside her clients as they work toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
